Blog 9 - Your Creative Hero

My creative hero is my big brother. He accepted me as his sister when my mom died some time ago, and we became close. He is an excellent musician, and definitely someone I can look up to, someone I can call and depend on....I call him my true blood brother....a brother I never had.

Blog 8 - FreeStyle - Traveling Guitar Foundation

Today I chose to do my blog on The traveling Guitar Foundation. The Traveling Guitar Foundation is about giving music back to schools and children. It is funny how I came across the foundation. I have a friend to whom I am very close with, and i was invited to come along , and I happened to have my camera with me. I took some pictures, and when the event was over I was looking through my camera at the pictures. So they guy who co - founded the foundation saw my pictures and loved my pictures and asked if I would post them on a website. So I created a blogg page that I learned how to do in my Intro To The Major class where my techer is Mrs. Julia Hutchinson. So once I created the blog page I was getting all kinds of compliments and everyone loved my work. So thats why today's Blog is about the Traveling Guitar Foundation. I got an opportunity and I used what I learned in school. Take a look....Heres the link below. Hope You Enjoy!!!!

Blog # 7 - Typical Study Habits & Study Environment

My study enviornment??? I am not a big fan about studying, especially being that i never did well in school, and i really didn't care. Now that has all changed. I want to do really well in school for the first time in my whole entire life. I definately pay close attention to the teacher. I take good notes and my notebook is very neat. I keep it in order by date. I think the only thing I would have to change is my place of study. I usually start my home work on the train on my way to work...I may do some homework while I'm at work, because I get off of work late, I get home late, then I have to be up early for school in the morning.
Some how....I still manage to get my homework done and, get to school on time. I hand in my work. I try to make it my best, so I can get a high score. My goal is to pass all my classes and get all A's or at least get an A. Sometimes I can't help but to do my homework on the train or at work....or in school while waiting for another class, especially if it's a reading assignment. I try to get a head start. I make sure to take good notes so I can always refer back to them. Other wise from that I am set. The main goal is to get to class on time, do all of the homework assignments, Hand Them In On Time!!!!, Study Study Study...Don't let your work pile up. Don't Fall back in your home work assignments....Be on time for school. Good Luck!!!!!!!boy.gif

Blog # 6 Dating while in College. Good Idea or Bad Idea?

Dating while in college has its pros and cons.....
Dating can have a negative affect or a positive affect....
Dating can be positive when you and the person you are in the relationship with are in the same school, and share some of the same classes. In that case you can help each other with homework, share ideas, facts, etc. Some cases students usually meet each other in college, maybe from high
Another situation is a couple who have been together for a while and one goes to another college that may be farther away or even in a different state , and usually in this example the female is the one who feels like she is torn apart , she can't go on without him or he can't move on without her. Then that's where they begin to loose focus especially when there in school....the stop paying attention, their minds begin the wander like ...I haven't heard from my loved one....their minds begin to go somewhere else.
When you have a situation where you and your loved one is in the same college and he or she really truly cares about you....then in that case you have someone who can help you stay focused and vice versa.
Now another situation is where you have a couple in a relationship and there is domestic violence...he may be beating her, she may be beating him, there may be verbal abuse. By the time he or she comes to school they may feel like you know ..... I don't have the energy to go to school today I'm just going to cut school to just get away, I just want to get away. If I tell someone what is going on they won't understand. Then next thing you know you start to see their attendance drop....and they miss one class then one class turns into 3 classes 3 turn into 4 and then you don't see them again....
Another situation is...you and your boy friend or girl friend may be working 2 jobs and going to school and either he or she isn't or can't make an effort or show an effort to come see you or spend time with you. You may feel a certain way and you loose all focus because you may feel like she loves you you love her and you have to do whatever you have to just to see them. If that means missing a few homework assignments and you say "Oh I'll catch up don't worry I just want to see you. I don't care about the homework, all I care about is you. "Oh baby , I love you I would do anything just to see you right now''.....Then next thing you know......you missing homework assignments missing class...then the semester is over, and you wondering why you failed?!!!
If you have a good solid relationship and the person is encouraging you, then you have a good thing going..especially without all the drama, but if you are in a unhealthy relationship....GET OUT AS FAST AS YOU CAN ...you don't need to be with anyone that doesn't want you to get your education and is not encouraging. You need to let them go, and move on. Stay focused!

Blog # 5 - Showcase of My Work.

Today's Blog is just a little different. I had the opportunity to show my creative side.
Today's blog is about your typical classroom atmosphere. Students who are lost, not paying attention. Then they want to bother and ask someone else whose been paying attention, taking notes, etc. I created this blog with the help of my classmates including myself and the teacher.
The topic is about how we have to do our daily blogging assignments. Two students are behind in their assignments. So I was asking my fellow classmate and the teacher over heard, and as you can see on page two of the comic, the teacher was upset. The second student is like me, clueless as to why the students can't keep up with their work. The teacher has clearly explained it time after time and by now the students should have each and every assignment down packed by now, no problems. Student number three who is more confused as to what to do and has no clue what so ever because he hasn't been paying attention in class. So me the fourth student who has been paying attention all this time am fed up!!! So i just went off on him, because I've watched him every class sit there and not pay attention. Just your typical students. PLEASE NOTE : ALL THE STUDENTS USED IN THIS COMIC ARE GOOD STUDENTS AND THE TEACHER IS EXCELLENT. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HELPED ME OUT WITH COMIC THANK YOU. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO SEE YOUR SELF AS ONE OF THOSE STUDENTS .....SHAME ON YOU!!!! PAY MORE ATTENTION IN CLASS AND TAKE GOOD NOTES.

Blog #4 First Impressions

The Internet has become a place where people share just about every aspect of their lives. One's such behavior can help or hinder their future. I personally have never posted any negative or provocative images or information any of my web pages, such as face book or Myspace. I wouldn't post anything such thing because of how I was raised, and I just know right from wrong. I've seen other peoples pages like friends of mine on Myspace or Facebook just posting very personal and random stuff...like "Oh I have my period" and I'm like the whole world doesn't need to know that. or someone may post " Yo' I was twisted I was so drunk I don't even remember what happened or how I got home." I've see people post up pictures where they are half dressed going to a club, barely dressed no top, or pictures coming from a club or holding bottles of liquor and proud of it.

Now that I am in college I have to present my self on a more professional and presentable level. My thing is always ''You never know who is watching you". Someone that may know you can or will report back to a co worker, relative or a friend, and you don't even know that some has been watching you this whole time. I have recently learned in school that employers are now looking at web pages and other links that you post about your self. Depending on how you present your self online determines whether or not you will be hired for the job you are applying for. So you have to be very careful with whatever you post on the Internet. that you have posted and most of all..DON'T PUT ALL YOUR PERSONAL BUSINESS OUT FOR THE WORLD TO SEE...ANYTHING YOU SAY OR DO WILL BE HELD AGAINST YOU IN THE COURT OF LAW...(LOL)
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU POST AND HOW YOU PRESENT YOUR SELF!!!!
